I chose this image to represent nursing because I believe it shows people coming together to solve a challenge. When talking about working together with others as a nurse, I think it’s easy to jump right to interdisciplinary communication and skip over the patient. But ultimately the patient has one of the biggest pieces of the puzzle in healthcare, and we can’t forget that. What I especially like about this photo is that you can’t see everyone’s faces.
While some of the people are certainly healthcare professionals, not all of them could be; and I think that stresses the idea that sources of information could come from anyone, and it may not always be who you expect.
