“Changing Your Mind” Questions
Think about a time that you have changed your mind?
I don’t think I’ve really changed my mind about anything major
How did it happen? If not, why do you think you’ve become an adult never changing your mind?
I think it is because I don’t have a lot of strong opinions on (controversial) issues, and it’s hard to change your mind on something when you don’t have your mind made up.
Have you ever changed anybody else’s mind?
No. I’ve witnessed and been a part of many politically based conversations with my friends and nobody has ever changed their minds about their beliefs. I think people eventually realized that everyone was set in their opinions, and weren’t necessarily going to change their minds on anything.
Has society as a whole ever changed its mind?
Yes, on issues like women’s suffrage back in the 1800’s and even more recently on current affairs like gay marriage and the legalization of marijuana.
